How is it already holiday season? I feel it was just a few weeks ago we were all complaining how it was still cold in May. Tomorrow many of Americans will gather with their families and have traditional or non-traditional Thanksgiving meals. It wasn’t until a few years ago, I realized that Black families have the same Thanksgiving feels when Black Twitter united and shared our secrets with the world with the hashtag #ThanksgivingWithBlackFamilies. Then I learned how vastly different it is to celebrate Thanksgiving with White families. (I honestly didn’t know casseroles were a thing until three years ago.) Although it’s not Thursday yet, let’s throwback to the iconic #ThanksgivingWithBlackFamilies.
