Today is Friday the 13th and perceived as an unlucky day in Western society. Something about Jason Voorhees appears on your Tinder date if you allow a cat to cross in front of you or something along that day.

I personally never believed in the superstition until this morning. As I was scrolling through my Twitter feed, I came across a tweet that read, “Hear Taylor Swift’s cover Earth, Wind, and Fire’s soul classic “September.”

I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but they were not. Taylor Swift took it upon herself to record a stripped down banjo playing, unseasoned chicken version of a wedding song staple. Out of all the songs in the world, this is what Taylor Swifts decides this is what we need?

September - Recorded at The Tracking Room Nashville, a song by Taylor Swift on Spotify

Haven’t we suffered enough since Nov 2016? Maurice White did not form one of the greatest funk/R&B bands of all time that provided some of the most celebrated songs ever so Taylor could produce a bland version to put us all to sleep. The lease Taylor could do is stay in her lane and cover a Garth Brooks tune or something.

The Maurice White story is a MUST read for any true fan of the mighty EW&F: http://smarturl.it/MW_MyLifeEWF?IQid=ytd Click to subscribe: http://smarturl.it/SubscribeEWFVevo?I... As Ira Madison says, I’m a need Taylor to keep it.

Here are some of my favorite tweets dragging Taylor Swift’s cover.
