Last weekend after Donald Glover hosted 'Saturday Night Live,' he premiered the "This Is America." The visual for the new single was a gripping look at the violence we have been normalized and most importantly, what Black Americans experience in this country. It was a captivating video that shook the table.
Well, the Whites wasted no time to gentrify "This Is America" and make their own version because, why not. Comedian Nicole Arbour decided the feminist needed their version and it wasn't as great as the original.
Weirdly enough the beginning of the video shows a Black woman holding a baby peacefully and then hauled off by police officers while Arbour raps “We just want to smile, get a mammy home”? Huh?
We can't have shit!
